My creative process is inspired by found objects and giving old things a new life while honoring their mysterious past. Whether it is aged documents, found journals, empty boxes or vintage clothing, I am intrigued by their history and nostalgic appeal. My creative explorations in mixed media began with a small collection of rubber stamps and found papers. I have always loved experimenting with texture, color, image, and text. My passion for collage mixed with a fascination for design as I moved from one place to the next. From The Thousand Islands in Ontario to Aspen, Colorado, I was influenced by the scenery, the people and the lifestyle that followed each setting. Studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto and studying at Otis School of Design in Los Angeles allowed me to explore my interest in visual communication and specialize in Graphic Design. My most recent adventure has led me to New York City, where I am currently freelancing and venturing into the fashion industry. Please feel free to contact me about my work or any commissioned projects. |
